What happens if an HEI has not spent all the money by March 2004?
This will depend on the outcomes of the Government’s Spending Review in 2002. If possible the HEFCE will seek to ensure that institutions receive their allocations in full. However, there is a risk that sufficient funds may not be available or that subsequent allocations will be discounted by any unspent amount.
