What happens if an athlete is injured?
If an athlete is injured then they will be examined and treated by the doctor and medical staff. If the doctor decides that the injury is too serious for the athlete to continue then that athlete will be withdrawn from the competition and may be replaced by an available substitute. The injured athlete’s points and charity money will be capped and the substitute athlete will gain points for him or herself and therefore begin to accumulate money for their own charity.
