Bacterial infections can seem very similar to yeast infections, but you need antibiotics if it’s bacterial. Unlike yeast infections, bacterial infections are potentially dangerous. The infection may spread to other parts of your body. A doctor can easily test for which kind of infection you have and treat it accordingly. Even if it really is just a yeast infection, a doctor can prescribe a more powerful treatment if it’s a really bad one.
