What happens if a user moves out of the coverage area?

When a user reaches the outer limits of the coverage area while on a call, the Portable Telephone will beep and the quality of the conversation will diminish. Walking back into the coverage area remedies the problem. If a user continues to move out of range, the Companion System will drop the call and transfer the user to a preprogrammed number, such as the attendant. If a user attempts to place a call outside the range of a Base Station, the system will not be able to establish the call.
