What happens if a student does not pass a class?

0

• Students must receive a passing grade in all required courses in order to remain on track for graduation (a D- is the lowest passing grade), so if a student receives an F in a required class, she must make that up before the following school year if she is going to return to Rosary. • A student who needs to make up a class must discuss the options directly with her counselor. Courses can be made up during summer school sessions at Rosary, Servite, Mater Dei, various other private schools, and the student’s local public school. Certain on-line courses are acceptable; again, the student needs to discuss the options with her counselor. • We strongly recommend that students make up any D grades, as most four-year colleges will accept only grades of C or better. Again, each student should consult with her counselor. • Grades of repeated classes are added to the Rosary transcript. The original grade remains and is the grade that is used in the calculation of the Rosary grade point average.
