What happens if a Soundweb box fails or is switched off during operation?
Similar comments apply: the remaining units will continue to function as normally as is possible given the fact that some of their audio sources may be missing, and they may no longer have a physical means of receiving control information. If a box simply loses power, the network will automatically reconfigure itself when power is reapplied. However, any preset changes will not of course be applied to a box which was switched off at the time the preset was activated. Soundweb Designer software will still think that you are on-line, but you will be unable to access the unit which was switched off. This also applies to any other units which are on the far side of it, since there will be no path for network messages from your PC to reach them.
