What happens if a pilot requests start-up or push-back very early? What happens if a pilot requests start-up or push-back too late?
The controller will request the pilot to report in for start-up according to the assigned Target Start-Up Approval Time (TSAT) or, in case of an earlier end of handling, to initiate a new COB input at the responsible Ground Handling unit. If the pilot does not report in at the latest at the assigned TSAT/TOAT for start-up or push-back, respectively, the re-planning process for the specific flight starts in the takeoff sequence and is moved back by least 5 minutes. After having been moved back twice in the sequence the flight will be dropped from the take-off sequence if not reporting the COB update or if the pilot does not report in time at given the target time. By way of a new COB input the flight will be entered once again in the planning calculation.
