What happens if a member leaves an approved employer at some point during the CPD year? Will they be required to comply with the unit scheme route?
If a member works for an approved employer for any part of a CPD period, ACCA is assured that the employer will address the individual’s development needs. On this basis members will gain exemption from the unit scheme for that entire CPD period. However, they would need to begin to follow the unit route in the next full year.
