What happens if a governing body has decided to increase or decrease in size?

When a governing body has reconstituted, a new IOG is prepared by the Legal Team of the LA and is formally sealed. The sealed Instrument is then sent to the school, addressed to the chair of governors. The chair or the clerk must check that the Instrument is correct. A photocopy of the Instrument should be taken for the clerk. All Governors must be given a copy of the Instrument after reconstitution. Thereafter, any new governors must also be given a copy. The IOG should be filed in the school safe. Governing bodies can decide to alter the IOG at any time but should review it annually.
