What happens if a Gift Card is lost or stolen?
You should call HVFCU to report lost or stolen cards. If you call after hours, our phone system will direct you accordingly. Once reported, your card will be closed and a replacement card will be issued. Any remaining balance on the lost or stolen card will be transferred to the replacement card, minus a $5 replacement card fee. The Gift Card falls under Visa’s zero liability policy, therefore you would not lose funds as a result of any fraudulent transactions, provided you report the card lost or stolen in a timely manner.
