What happens if a forest planted by CFS is harvested or destroyed by fire or pests?
CFS is responsible for maintenance and care for the term of each project. All CFS projects are insured however, if these plantations are harvested at the end of the rotation period or in the unlikely event destroyed by fire or pests, the future carbon sequestration removed from the site will be offset by with new credits created in another approved project controlled by CFS.
