What happens if a faculty member won take the provosts tutorial?
President Casteen has mandated the provost’s tutorial for all members of search committees seeking to fill tenured/tenure track positions. If someone designated as a search committee member does not take the tutorial, the search can not go forward—EOP cannot approve the search, etc. If an individual chooses not to take the tutorial and therefore not participate in a search committee, that is a matter for the appropriate dean and/or department chair.
