What happens if a computer that is being monitored fails or the Internet connection goes down?
A typical management system that relies on information being sent from a server would assume that “no news is good news.” That is, the absence of a transmission would mean that there is nothing wrong. With Patch, all servers are connecting to our Expert Sytem at a regular interval with a “heartbeat”. If the Expert System doesn’t receive a communication from a server over a 10 minute period, the Expert System assumes that there is a critical error and you are notified immediately via mobile phone.
