What happens if a complaint is filed against me with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision?
After a complaint is filed with the Board, the Medical Director and Executive Director of the Board review it. If the Medical Director and Executive Director determine that the allegations fall within the Board’s jurisdiction and that a violation of the Medical Practice Act may have occurred then the matter will be assigned to an investigator. If the investigation indicates that the Medical Practice Act may have been violated then a hearing will be held and the Board may issue sanctions against the physician.
