What happens if a candidate does something like miss a negative in the transformations, thereby giving the opposite meaning to the original even though their sentence is grammatically correct?
At all levels except Proficiency, the sentence which the candidate is expected to write is divided into two. Therefore a minor error such as a missing word, even if that word changes the meaning of the whole sentence, will only lose you one point not two. At Proficiency however, you have to get the whole sentence right because only one point is allocated to each item.
