What happens if a board goes ahead with an activity outside of these division levels?

This has been a question that the Safety Guidelines Advisory Committee has wrestled with since the guidelines first came out. School districts in the past have been advised that we recognize the wide range of experience in children and youth across the province and therefore support school districts that allow children/youth to participate outside the age divisions that are listed. When this is done by a school district, it is strongly recommended that they document the rationale for including younger children/youth in the activity and keep this rationale on file.
