What happens from the 27th of April 2009 if I hold a learner licence?
From the 27th of April 2009, the L1 and L2 stages will be introduced for novice drivers. If you hold a learner licence prior to this date you will automatically be treated as being in the L2 stage and any supervised hours completed will count towards the required 50 supervised hours. Those entering the novice licensing system from the 27th of April 2009 will enter at the L1 stage and will have to comply with the L1 requirements.
