What happens during VCC Installation?
Most of the installation process is preparation; actual setup time of the VCC equipment is less than a day. Many questions and issues may arise during this process. Please contact your GMI sales rep or the GMI customer service directly for assistance. Please refer to Chapter 9 Support Information. It describes several methods for contacting GMI with questions, suggestions, issues, and/or in emergencies. The physical preparation for the installation of the VCC consists of site preparation, console preparation, network preparation, cable installation, and power installation. The VCC consists of both hardware and software. Physically, the hardware is mounted in a rack and is installed in the data center. The software runs on the VCC server and utilizes the hardware interfaces. Software installation is described in the Software Installation Guide.
