What happens during the main ceremony?
Platform guests, faculty members and students process onto the University Green. The National Anthem is played and the audience listens to speeches from the Rowan University President, Provost, a Board of Trustees representative, SGA President and keynote speaker. The Alumni Board President honors a distinguished alumnus. The Rowan President, Provost and Chair of the Board of Trustees present an Honorary Doctorate and confer the degrees. Everyone processes out to their secondary ceremonies, except the College of Liberal Art and Sciences, who remains on the University Green for their secondary ceremony.
