What happens during the Graduation Ceremony?
All graduands must have registered, be wearing their academic dress and in their allocated seats in the Lecture Theatre of the UQ Centre, the veranda of Morrison Hall or the Cunningham Room of the Ipswich Civic Hall 40 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Ceremony staff will then provide a briefing to all graduands. Please follow the directions of the staff at all times. If you have any questions please ask the ceremony staff for assistance. Should you be delayed, please report to a staff member as soon as you reach the UQ Centre, Gatton Gymnasium or Ipswich Civic Hall. 1. The Graduand Procession will enter the Hall 20 minutes prior to the official commencement of the ceremony. 2. Graduands and guests are asked to stand while the Academic Procession enters the Hall.
