What happens during product activation?
A6: During product activation, the Money Activation Wizard creates a hardware identification that represents the configuration of the computer at the time of activation. It does not include any personal information, any information about software or data that may reside on the computer, or any information about the specific make or model of the computer. The hardware identification is used to only identify the computer and is only used for activation. The Money Activation Wizard can detect and tolerate changes to the configuration of a computer. Minor hardware upgrades do not require reactivation. However, if you make major changes to the computer over time, you may have to reactivate the product.
Product activation is a series of simple steps that takes place during the installation of your WinFCE product. Users enter their product activation code, which is authenticated with the WinFCE systems product activation server to activate the product. The entire activation process is quick and easy, and the majority of users will experience product activation only once.
