What happens during my round if the screen is auto-locked by the timer or locked manually?
• A: Many Droid Eris users have their backlight timeout feature set to 2 min in order to preserve battery life. Although this technique is very useful in preserving battery life, it has some drawbacks while using the GPS. When the phone is unlocked, the app will pick up right where it left off, so if you have moved from your previous location the Droid Eris will need about 30-45 seconds to find your new location and calculate your yardages.
