What Happens During Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is state wherein your conscious (thinking) mind becomes bored it relaxes and stops thinking, The ideal depth of hypnosis is one that feels just like that 5-10 seconds before you fall asleepyou are aware of everything going on around you, but you don’t focus on it, instead you focus on something dreamy or nothing at all that you can remember when you awaken. Sometimes you hear this level of relaxation referred to as a cat napping’ dozing, or that the person was half-asleep’ or on auto-pilot’. During hypnosis, your body and conscious mind are in a relaxed state while your subconscious mind remains awake and receptive to suggestions. You may feel very physically light, or heavy, or seem to feel both at once. You will always be in control, free to accept or reject any suggestions given.
