What happens during each of the four phases of mitosis?
Telophase-the sister chromatids (which are the chromosomes that got pulled apart by the spindle fibers in the phase-Metaphase) reach the poles. A nuclear envolpe forms around them. Two cells form. Then cytokinesis occurs. Cytokinesis is the actual pinching off of the cytoplasm and the plasma membrane(also called the cell membrane). Cytokniesis happens during telophase but is a different process.
