What happens during a Thai Massage session?
Thai Massage is received while the client is lying on a special futon or mat placed on the floor. The therapist will apply deep yet gentle pressure using her palms, thumbs, elbows, and feet. She will also move your limbs and body into Yoga-like stretches. The therapist will work slowly, reaching the limit of the stretch, and moving just a bit farther as your muscles relax. What does Thai Massage feel like? Thai Massage feels deeper than Swedish Massage but not as deep as Deep Tissue Massage. Since the therapist applies pressure slowly, your tissues have a chance to unwind and relax without pain. In some ares of the body, it is possible to stretch farther than with Yoga because the stretches are passive. The therapist facilitates all the movement while the client relaxes and enjoys the session.
