They will take place within 90 days after request is made. Members may attend in person or by phone. A family member, friend or lawyer may attend to help you. If you feel your health is at immediate risk you, your doctor or your licensed psychologist may call the Office of Administrative Hearings at 1-785-296-2433 to ask for an expedited state fair hearing. After calling, you will need to fax a etter from your provider to 1-785-296-4848 explaining the need for the expedited hearing. When that happens, or provider appears at State Fair Hearing, a decision will be made within 3 days after asking for the expedited hearing. Members can attend.
