What happens at a Roman Catholic Mass?
At a Catholic Mass: (condensed version) – A reading for the Old Testiment and New Testiment of the Bible are read by lay lectors. – The Gospel reading is read from one of the Gospels in the Bible are read by the Priest or Decon. – A sermon or homily is given by the Priest or Deacon. – The gifts are presented. (bread and wine) – The bread and wine are concecrated by the Priest, where they become the real body and blood of Jesus Christ. – All Catholics in the congregation recieve Communion. The “Bread and Wine” is the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Just like at the Last Supper, Catholics recieve Communion every Sunday.
