What happens at a Prerelease?
In short, you open up packs from the latest set – the one that is about to come out – and play with those cards. Tournament formats vary from place to place, but I’ll go with the generals here. Very large Sealed Deck flights that start as soon as they open. You can register for these right away. I’ll explain details later on. Absolutely HUMONGOUS Sealed Deck modified Swiss-Round Tournament. I’ll also explain this later on. 8-person drafts that usually start halfway through the day. Explaining details later on, because I am a huge procrastinator. Two-headed Giant Sealed. This is a team format that usually opens when the doors do, but sign-ups are generally slow. Three Headed Giant Sealed. See above, but with three partners instead of two.
