What happens after the gifts are delivered?
It can be nothing, or much as the Spirit leads, depending on how Gods people are listening to the prompting of the Holy Spirit to help others. We must do our part to help children realize there is hope for a life different than what their parent is experiencing in prison. It is encouraging to see the changes in the lives of children at the end of a week of camp or from year to year as they return for another week of camp. When our circle of influence expands because we plant the seeds during the Christmas ministry we are able to take more children to Christian camp, where some of the harvesting begins. Some of the follow-up activities can also include helping children enjoy a birthday, writing letters, visiting, providing additional care services and gifts during the year as the needs arise, taking children to a Mariners game, or to Wild Waves, or taking them to a youth concert or a leadership conference.
