What happens after the federal census is done?
After the federal census is complete, the population numbers are used to create election districts, including precinct lines and legislative districts. The first step will be for local precincts to be redrawn by either the board of selectmen or the city councilors. Next the state election districts are redrawn by the Legislature. These districts include congressional districts, senatorial districts, and representative districts. A: Benefits that you currently use may be adjusted based on available funds.
