What happens after the Commission concludes a comprehensive visit?
A. Following the visit, the NCA evaluation team writes a report, which becomes the official document of record. Within this report, the Commission makes a decision about the affiliated status of the organization. Part of that decision is setting the date for the next comprehensive evaluation. Another part typically is defining specific components of the ongoing relationship between the organization and the Commission. The Commission may approve stipulations or provide permission for program and site expansion. It may ask that different kinds of reports be filed over the next years. It can also mandate a future focused visit on specific issues. The Commission reserves the right to reconsider affiliation at any time and will provide clearly specified reasons for its decision. An organization attends to its affiliation between comprehensive visits by honoring the stipulations, notifying the Commission of program or site expansion, filing required reports, and hosting any focused visits.
