What happens after the application is sent in to HUSKY?
HUSKY staff review the information and will follow-up with you if additional information is needed. Applications are usually decided within 30 days from the time all information and verifications are received. When your child is accepted into HUSKY, you are asked to ‘enroll’ him or her into a HUSKY health plan (these are sometimes known as HMOs or managed care organizations). HUSKY gives you freedom to choose one of several health plans to coordinate benefits for your children.
