What Happens After Restylane Treatment?
The benefits can be seen straight away with Restylane. Although immediately after the treatment, there will be slight swelling redness tenderness and an itchy sensation in the treated area. The inconvenience is temporary and generally disappears in a few days. The initial swelling after lip treatment may last longer – this can last up to a week and the lips may be slightly uneven during this time. This means that the result directly after the treatment should not be seen as the final result. Patients can resume their daily activities immediately after the treatment. Patients need to avoid touching the treated area for about 6 hours post treatment, after that the area can be washed with soap and water and light makeup can be applied.
