What happened to the qstn about the kitten getting declawed?
Unfortunately, a lot of people are in the dark when it comes to declawing. Many people think that it is a routine thing to do when you have a cat. When you visit a vet, many times they have a spay/neuter/declaw package that you can choose from to save on cost. It’s with this mentality that declawing is still acceptable in this country. And although I did not read the question, I completely understand her situation. She is completely oblivious and thought that declawing is no big deal and that something cat owners do. Like brushing and grooming, playing, feeding. And the surgery itself is clouded with misinformation. I bet the girl thought declawing meant snipping off the claws like how we cut our nails. Imagine the horror when someone told her what really go on in the surgery room – or the vet’s table!
