What happened to the pontoons moored in Port Gamble Bay?
There are three pontoons that were used during the reconstruction of the west half in 1980 and moored in Port Gamble Bay until January 2007. Those pontoons were towed to Seattle and rehabilitated so they can be incorporated into the new east-half structure. They were towed back to Port Gamble Bay to be stored until the east-half replacement in May-June 2009.
