Proceeds from the 1999 MLO were designated in the companion resolution adopted by the Board of Education for the following uses: In year one (1999-2000); to attract and retain teachers, adequately maintain buildings and school buses, restore financial reserves and fund retirement reserves, and In year two (2000-2001); continue focus on academic core subject areas, offer foreign language at all levels, continue education reforms such as schools of choice and restructuring grants, and achieve an appropriate class size level, and In year three (2001-2002) and thereafter, begin funding for the Strategic Plan Tier 1 recommendations, continue to restore program reductions including building carryover funds, and maintain district financial reserves. The district did spend the 1999 MLO proceeds in accordance with the resolution.
