What happened to the hit counters?

From WebCT’s “Ask Dr. C.” Forum: The Hit Counter was removed from CE 4.0 by WebCT Product Development from research that found very little use by faculty. Student Tracking, available since early versions of WebCT, provides a more accurate and detailed means of following student activity in a course. Unlike the hit counter that showed hits by anyone in a course including designers, Student Tracking can be set to display individual student activity through the My-Progess tool. If there is still a desire for a hit counter, try searching the web as you might find some Javascript, a Java applet or Flash module that might work for you.
