What happened to the discount rate for students living in neighboring California counties?

The Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents recently decided to discontinue the Good Neighbor tuition rate. Effective fall 2011, TMCC will no longer grant students the Good Neighbor tuition rate. Students who have been attending using the Good Neighbor discount continuously up to fall 2011 will be grandfathered in as long as they continue to attend continuously. New students from Good Neighbor counties may apply for the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) rate, however they must apply for this rate by Aug. 15, 2011. A WUE application is available online. After fall 2011, new students who wish to use the WUE tuition discount must apply by June 1 for the following fall semester and by Oct.1 for the following spring semester.
