A. The diffusive wave approximation to the momentum equation was eliminated in v2006.01. Only the full dynamic wave (FDW) momentum equation is now available for the FLO-2D model. The FDW requires more computer resources but this is now a minor issue with the faster processors and the disadvantages are outweighed by the increased numerical stability over the diffusive wave equation.
