What happened to the bonus for open hand casting?
The bonus for open-handed casting (OHC) is still there, but there is a different verb you must use to get the bonus. The CHANNEL verb has been implemented to give the caster the benefits of OHC and stance bonuses for spells 702, 302, 312 and 1106. Using CHANNEL will impose a 3 second hard RT as well as the 3 second casting RT. Being under the influence of the Haste spell will reduce the hard RT. The bonuses for stance and OHC, while both linked to CHANNEL, are independent. You can use CHANNEL to gain the bonuses of OHC while still in a guarded stance, you can use it to gain the bonuses of stancing while having your hands full, or you can use it for both.
