What happened to the allied guns after ww2 was over?
You do not ask specifically what kinds of guns so, generally speaking, smaller arms (pistols, rifles, smaller machine guns) were distributed to Army Reserve units and State National Guard units, as well as allied armies throughout the world. Some larger guns (artillery) were also distributed the same way, as well as put in storage. Larger guns yet, such as those on naval vessels, were mothballed (stored). Thankfully so, for it was only 6 years after the end of WWII when the USA became involved in the Korean War.
