What happened to farmers when more efficient farming machinery was invented?
Farms- and farmers , if they could afford them took up the mechanized progress. There was even an application for Lawn and Garden Tractors , some early ones two-wheeled which still require considerable muscle juice- if you know what I mean , but can reduce the labor involved in close-quarter cultivation, like the Roto-Spader. Some Religious bodies such as the Amish may have objected, but not many. Of course tractors and harvesters- the latter being seasonal occupied machines, were and are available for rent from Tractor dealers or ( Block Men) as the Case Company called them, Not a b ad idea when budgets would not warrant purchase of a limited use machine.- This in a sense also led to the Co-Op tractors.
