To expand or limit a search in Windows XP, use the drop-down menu to select and search individual folders or the entire drive. In Windows Vista, click Start and type part or all of the file name to search the entire hard drive. To limit a search, in the Windows Explorer, navigate to the specific drive or folder that may contain the document, enter all or part of the file name. The names of matching files are displayed.
