We froze the @orst.edu namespace. This means that DCAs are no longer able to create new @orst.edu addresses and are not able to change existing ones without contacting Network Engineering. • What happened on January 4th, 2004? A: Everyone who had not already changed their outbound (“reply-to”) address to @oregonstate.edu was changed automatically. All @orst.edu addresses continue to work. This means that when you send mail, it now appears to come from you@oregonstate.edu, but you are still able to receive mail sent to you@orst.edu. We also updated on-campus Lyris/Mailman list subscriptions to reflect the change in your outbound address. • Why did email addresses change? A: The university has made the decision to move its domain space from “orst.edu” to “oregonstate.edu” and changing email addresses is a part of this migration.
