What happened during the 1930s that allowed for World War II to occur?
There were several scenarios leading to WW II. Germany felt severely limited in her power and her borders because of WW I punitive measures. This bitterness led to a build-up of a vengeful and efficient German military. The assassination of Archduke Ferdinand was another catalyst. Germany annexed Austria and invaded Poland.
