What happened at the 2010 Sydney Science Experience?
Watch full screen In 2010, 120 students attended the University of Sydney’s Science Experience. These students travelled to our campus from across the state to become a CSI for three days. We are of course delighted to have so many students attend from rural and regional areas. On day one, all the CSI’s are given a crime scene briefing which provides a summary of the scene and some background information on the suspects. They spend the next three days learning from professionals in the field (for example there were lectures from a forensic pathologist and a member from Forensic Services in the Police Service) as well as utilising workshop sessions to test evidence to determine which suspect to take to trial. The final day wraps up with a trial run by the CSI’s and closes with a Dr Karl talk and presentation of certificates.
