What happened after the Boston court case started?
I contacted Islandnet, Eddy Jansson, some of my local friends and family, the EFF, and the EFC. Islandnet officially asked me to remove the link to the reversal document from my Web page, which I did. Please note that despite what was reported by various news outlets, I removed the link because Islandnet requested that I do so, not for any other reason. After talking to the EFF and some people they put me in touch with, I chose not to hire a lawyer in the USA since that could put me under the US court’s jurisdiction when I might not otherwise be. I did seek legal representation in Canada. The court case quickly became a big news story in Boston, on the Internet, and across Canada. My lawyer advised me not to talk to the press, and Eddy adopted a similar policy, and so (after a couple of interviews I gave before receiving that advice) the story quickly took on a life of its own.
