What hair style can ballet dancers have their hair?
Ballet is the physical form of classical beauty and gracefulness. The reason ballet dancers have long hair is that it is natural and unspoiled. Any artificial styling upsets the beauty of the dance, and is quite distressing to watch. It is like slashing a beautiful painting. The hair style should therefore not show any rough edges, but be flowing along with the whole body. Buns are fine because there are no ends sticking out, but a pony tail ending in a blunt stub above the shoulder is disappointing. Long hair left loose should be flowing and one length, so that it moves gracefully with the dancer. Styled, layered hair hangs wrong and moves wrong. With hair like yours, when it is as short as shoulder-length, it tends to bush out sideways, rather than allowing the weight of it to pull it down and straighter. Also easier to get in a bun or a classical style.
