What guidelines exist for Jordan River Village?
The Association of Hole in the Wall (HITW) Camps has accepted the Jordan River Village as a full member. The success of the original Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, founded by Paul Newman, has spawned four additional camps modeled after it; the Jordan River Village is one of the three camps now being built. There is no need to “reinvent the wheel”. The Association provides professional and technical assistance and maintains high standards through a detailed reporting program. Adapting to our environment and the diverse populations to be served, the Jordan River Village will provide a full range of activities, geared to the abilities of its campers. The medical presence will be kept in the background, but shall be able to provide a full range of care as needed 24 hours per day. How can the Jordan River Village make a difference in a seriously ill child’s life? The program’s success will grow out of our commitment to give these children a greater sense of self-worth through specially designe
