What guidance does First Health provide to our clients to help them become HIPAA compliant?

Clients should seek their own legal counsel, however, we are a large part of a clients compliance efforts. This may vary on the type and level of services we are providing. For example, we may maintain the majority of PHI in a designated record set for our clients, if we are providing all claims, clinical and network services. For network only clients, we will have little if any records the plan doesnt already have. All clients will be required to maintain their own privacy policies and procedures and will be responsible for their overall health plan compliance.
